Rhymes of the Heart

Who Is Baby Grace/Pass this on

Suffered, discarded, adrift all alone
Washed up on shore, this box a tomb
Then gentle hands pulled it on in
Just to discover a tiny girls doom

Who's Baby Grace the cry was sent out
Somebody's daughter somebody's playmate
Where did she come from what is her name
Who could have sealed this tiny girls fate

Sneakers with flowers lit up when she walked
Clothes shaded pink, long wavy blonde hair
Tearful memorial, cross for her head
Heartbroken strangers showing they care

Who's Baby Grace this little body we bore
To a loan resting place beneath the earth
Look at the sketches help if you can
Lets find her home the place of her birth

I didn't write this as a poet, I didn't check meters or even how it sounds
I wrote it as a concerned citizen
This could have been my daughter or granddaughter or anyone of yours
Look at the sketches and pass them around, someone somewhere
Is missing this tiny Angel, lets help if we can to put a name to
Her tiny person and get her home, here is a link to her story if you haven't already seen it
