Rhymes of the Heart

Forgive Me

There were teardrops from Heaven
Glistening on roses each morn
On the breeze there was a melody
Completely lost and forlorn

There was a rainbow above the clouds
But the colors had gone awry
Heaven called way too soon
I was cheated of goodbye

The laughter had escaped my world
And love seemed so absurd
And the Savior Jesus Christ
I mocked for a dirty word

The beauty had all withered
My life I did abhor
I wallowed in self-pity
While true faith was no more

Hope lay stagnant with my tears
Till a voice whispered to me
I ended all her suffering
Your Angel now flies free

Grief can be a crippling thing
When a hearts been torn into
Forgive me Lord for all my doubts
She's in loving arms with You
