I wrote this for a friend who has been quite ill: he'll understand.
Ah've written this poem fur a freend o' mine,
Ah've written it fur the sake o' auld lang syne!
"Ah tell ye this ye've goat much tae dae,
So dinna start thinkin' o' passin' away.
Yer needed by mony ya eddjit and bam,
It's no' the time tae be quiet an' calm.
Get oot o' thone bed hae a sing an' dance,
write some mair poems, leave nothin' tae chance.
Ah want ye tae ken that ye've been a great help,
sae get tae work or ah'll gie ye a skelp.
It's time ye were up, aye an' aboon,
daein' yer best, hope tae here frae ye soon!"
