THE BUNNY TREE

WHEN WE BOUGHT OUR HOUSE,
THERE WERE JUST A FEW.
AT THE EDGE OF THE WOODS
AN OLD OAK TREE GREW.

IT WAS VERY TALL AND BIG AROUND
AND HAD AN OPENING NEAR THE GROUND.
THAT'S WHERE THE EASTER BUNNY STAYED
AND ALL YEAR, THAT'S WHERE HE PLAYED.

YOU KNOW HOW SANTA KEEPS A EYE ON YOU ?
WELL THE EASTER BUNNY DOES THAT TOO.
EVERY FEW DAYS THE YOUNG ONES WOULD LOOK
TO SEE IF THE BUNNY WAS IN IT'S NOOK.

AS TIME WENT BY AND THE KIDS GOT SMART
THEY FINALLY KNEW-DEEP IN THEIR HEART
IT WAS JUST MAKE BELIEVE.
THE KIND OF TALE PARENTS LIKE TO WEAVE.
