A DOG NAMED WENDY

SHE WAS A LITTLE POODLE MIX,
SWEET AS SHE COULD BE.
SOMEONE PUT HER OUT AT  THE PARK,
MY KIDS BROUGHT HER HOME TO ME.

SHE WAS MATTED AND DIRTY, THEY GAVE HER A BATH,
I SAID '' WE'D  HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE''.
IT WAS UP TO  THEIR DAD, IF SHE COULD STAY,
IT WASN'T JUST UP TO ME

WHEN HE WALKED IN THE DOOR AND SAW HER THERE,
YOU COULD SEE THAT HE WAS GLAD,
HE HAD ONE LIKE HER , WHEN HE WAS A  KID
WHEN IT DIED IT LEFT HIM SO SAD.

SHE WAS A GOOD LITTLE GIRL AND MOTHER TOO .
SHE HAD TWO LITTERS AND KNEW WHAT TO DO.
SHE NEVER GOT MEAN AND WAS ALWAYS KIND
THE NICEST LITTLE DOG YOU COULD HOPE TO FIND.
