footprints in the earth.....

Prayerful Petition

Hallowed an expectant sigh
Fetched from far fleeting heights
Dusk and dawn dance daily by
A soul clutching the very sights

Silent them a sweetened touch
Searching and searing dull in intent
Remembered then all memories lost
Safe in disguise, motives unkempt

Appearing then a falling hope
Wet and dropping down to the earth
Fearing when all grace be tossed
A parched leaf relives birth

Indeed then a thankful sign
Made in haste, fingers in emotion
Toil and tears boiled in brine
Each dawn rising petition
