DRIVING LESSON

THE FIRST TIME I EVER DROVE A CAR
MY HUBBY TOOK ME TO A ROAD NOT FAR.

THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC ,IT WAS OUT OF THE WAY
I'LL NEVER FORGET THAT AWFUL DAY.

WE HAD JUST GOT STARTED AND DOWN CAME THE RAIN.
IN NO TIME AT ALL IT WAS LIKE A WATER MAIN.

IT WAS MADE OF CLAY AND SLICK AS COULD BE
AND THERE SAT MY HUBBY NEXT TO ME

SAYING "JUST KEEP GOING OR WE'RE GONNA GET STUCK"
SO I GAVE IT THE GAS AND THEN CAME BAD LUCK.

THE DARN CAR SLID SIDEWAYS ACROSS THE ROAD
AND WENT A BLOCK AND A HALF IN THAT REDICULAS MODE.

I NEVER THOUGHT WE'D GET OUT ALIVE
BUT AFTER THAT I LEARNED HOW TO DRIVE

IMAGINE WHAT POEPLE THOUGHT LOOKING OUT THEIR DOOR
HAVING NEVER  SEEN A CAR GO UP THE ROAD LIKE THAT  BEFORE.
