Dust and Dreams-A Journey

Lad's Song (Dust)

Lad's Song

Ah, sorrow for all thy weary lads,
Sorrow, sorrow, weep with thee,
With shaking form turn into stone,
Along horizon, bare as bone,
Passion, my lads, shall live high on,
Rocks of gray and river's storm,
Youth, my youth, oh youth, save me!
For I as thou survive so hastily,
Again, my youth, I beg of thee,
Move my soul to heaven's sea,
Leave me not, throughout, throughout,
Breathren, thy shadow of blackened doubt,
Throughout, throughout, throughout, throughout,
Tears of pain, they somber thee,
Nature's cloud hath overtaken me,
Grief retains thy way with me,
Verily, verily, verily, verily,
My sons, ne'er born, in weakened womb,
Cry forth in all their tears of doom,
For the faces of death, so there may be,
Papa so sorry, leave thy rusted, broken, worthless key,
Merely upon thy broken brow,
For babe in arms lay sickened still,
Writhing in beauty, in agony,
Verily, verily, verily, verily,
Such great sorrow for thee, limbs agone,
To with shaking form turn into stone.
