Dust and Dreams-A Journey

Savage Sea (Nature)

Savage Sea

Oh yea, Savage, savage sea,
Thrash my wholeness, ravage me,
For St. Elmo's fire be no more in sight,
On this cold, clear, bitter night,
I'm drowning, Sir Sea, but how could this be?
To simply drown beneath the pale moonlight?

A sailor's friend, I may be not,
'Tis soon lest to be forgot,
That I only know your darkest depths,
Beneath your glass mirror, out of reach,
Oh no, savage sea, I think I ought,
Die to wash upon your sandy beach,

I think I ought, be upon a rock,
Where neither wave nor coral talk,
Upon a placid glass mirror,
Where slimy moss not slither near,
Whilst in fear, whilst in fear,
Of he who waits upon the dock.
