Poetry is a unique way of expressing one's thoughts. Just as an artist paints on canvas, a poet paints with words on paper. It takes a special gift to convey words in such a way that the reader is moved. The pen is not the tool, the words are. A poet uses words to manipulate their thoughts, it is not just words written down on paper, It is words that comes alive, reaches out, and grab you.
