A Sussex boyhood
The author of these poems is M.P.Bridger he was born in sight of the south downs in Sussex in 1971 and has every intention of staying there. All poems viewed on this site have been previously published in book form. The copyright remains very strictly and legally with the author. Enjoy. The author's hobbies include beer, hiking across the south Downs and just about every footpath in East Sussex, writing poetry and prose,beer, country pubs (involving more beer) and talking nonesense (that'll be the beer theme slipping in there again somewhere) Although my work very often has a deep,serious side to it I remain a firm believer that you shouldn't take yourself too seriously in this life as that leads to vanity and pretension which are two things I hate.Basically, this is me,this is my poetry and this is the best I can do so hope you will enjoy it.
