The soul has much to say

Ethereal woman...

Dinner date and
I'm right on time
About to discover
the benefits of punctuality

In the air
a hint of Lilac
My mouth begins
...to water

"Lipstick, shoes
and I'll be ready" she says
Boyish curiosity
gets the better of me

Peeking around the corner
Inconceivable vision
Standing on her toes
applying a shade of crimson

...delectable lips

Elegance personified
Lavender dress cascading
just above her knee
Her body reminds me

of the Scottish Highlands

Strong, firm...lush
Valleys of perfection
My fear of being
caught dissipates

The allure of her
ravenesque crown
Olive colored flesh
too beautiful to touch

Her shoulders defy
my imagination
Her neckline almost swanlike
This is the same woman

...I scaled a mountain with

Sitting in a chair
legs exquisitely crossed
Carefully putting on her shoes
and taking a deep breath

She yells, "I'm ready"

My frame fills her doorway
Silence becomes her
Before she asks
I let her know

"I've been standing here...long enough"

For the first time in my life
contemplating a kiss
...while in the act of one
Hesitation, reservation

The sweetness of her breath
She's so close, now
Soft collision
My hands upon her waist

her arms around my neck

Looking for a storm within
her brown portals
Seeing only the tranquility
of Sunday morning

Feeling that refreshing
breeze of "the first time"
I've opened the door
She has stepped through

...my ethereal woman
