The soul has much to say
Beautiful sadness...(from the Recycled Collection)
This land
you survey
Veiled by
April snows
Its thorny
offspring
you reluctantly
embrace
Perfumed with
paralyzing fear
you refuse
to pluck
that single rose
Which sets
your heart
and soul
in place
Sailing oceans
of tropical dreams
Seas of
hope
Long the highway
of men
Your net
barely filled
Fishing in seas
never warm
Settling
for guppies
and not
Leviathan
Beholding
the heavens
Kissing clouds
as you soar
Your love
Worthy of what's noble
what's regal
Tragically gliding
with crows
while wanting more
Weeping
as you let go
the wings
of an eagle
How great
the need
for your heart
to be held
Free will
eroded
Now borderline
madness
But oh
so strong
the love
you crave
I name
thee
a beautiful
sadness
pearl jam - better man pearl jam
