Serenity and Self-Preservation

There are those who like to be left alone
and those who never leave you alone.
Seek the loners. Or let them seek you.
There are those who divide and conquer
living their lives like a grocery list of complaints.
Their campaign to educate the world of the benefits of their opinions
knowing no or few restraints. Beware. Stay miles away.
Politicians and CEO's are often this way.  Failing
to recognize the expression of fear or pain in another.
We are beyond their inability to grasp at sympathy...
they simply lack the capacity, so find it in yourself.
We have more in common with other cultures and people
that what tears us apart. The day we know we are our own powerful force
will be a day when a new world has begun. Claim a personal
conviction to be yourself. No one else will do it better.
Resolve to take your can of courage from off its dusty shelf.
Resonate and do not fade away. Tomorrow may be tomorrow,
but you live in today. And in each hour...
Serenity and self-preservation...do it without hesitation.
Be good to yourself and the rest of the world will follow.

some random thoughts after meditation.
