Poetic-Verses

WE CAN ALL GET ALONG

The constant struggle~~
always grasping at a thought,
a reasonable idea of what,
living a life is meant to be..
A scratch put upon my brain..
With needles injecting..
and withdrawing,that
which is lacking,or
That which is deemed,
necessary..
Put me into a whirlwind..
Where I'm the eye-of-the-storm~~
Where the obvious is unknown,
And perception is what,
other people tell you--
So, all are in agreement,
that a leaf is really a stone..
And the bargaining chip,
is your decency, your virtue--
Just so,
"We can all get along.."
With our own sick, sad, selves..
Never mind that nagging,
little voice in your head
that says,
"Hey, wait a minute, if nobodies
right, then something must be wrong.."
Searching for a creed,
a mantra, a moral code..
Something to make sense of it all..
Yet, happiness isn't really,
all that allusive..
It's not to be stumbled upon--
It's not attained through stupor..
It's to be earned, yes?
p.s.,
I might add, Life should not be
held hostage, by the point of a gun~~
