Poetic-Verses

~~a veil so thin~~

~~next time..
will I be brave, and follow the specter..
the wee hour visitor..his eyes, aglow
in the haziness of my sweet yet unsettling
nights slumber..does he wish me to follow..
in my heart of hearts I know where in the end
he leads me too..fear grips me, and so I pull
the bed sheets over me..and lay my head into my
pillow..the watchers..ask it, are you a demon,
friend or foe..are you imagined, are you real..
will you enlighten me, illuminate my soul..
what is it you want from me..has time done away
with me, do you want my agony..or is there
an answer to this riddle you put to me..the
visitor..the air around held it's breath quite still..
as if in some kind of fog, a mental gauze..
a veil so thin between this and the afterworld..
like a child, bribed with candy and lead into
the zoo..and a mystery that's never solved..
