Dontary
I dedicate these words to Dontary,
The young man my Tina chose to marry;
At first I heard all kinds of stuff,
"Better watch out, that guy's really tough!"
But in spite of the vicious stories we were told,
Dontary always remained strong and bold;
All the rumors he would continuously deny,
"That's not true," he'd say firmly. "I wouldn't lie."
This couple's strength has been put to the test,
Proving each day that they really are the best;
I was afraid when I came from out of town and found
That their house had been burned down to the ground;
They held onto each other, clinging very tight,
Determined to fight together with all their might;
Although they mourned the loss of their home,
They bounced back together firm and strong;
Dontary and Tina are a fine young pair,
For one another they really do care;
I'm truly sorry I ever doubted Dontary,
Tina really chose the best man to marry.
