WHY ALL THE HURRY?

When I think of all I've lost over the years,
In pulled-out hair and rivers of tears;
All the pounds shed due to worry,
Blood oozing from wounds caused by hurry;

Knees scraped and bruised after falling down,
Knots on my head from quickly turning 'round;
Scalded throat from drinking coffee too fast,
All kinds of scars that will forever last;

I ponder these things and can't figure out,
What the hustle and bustle was all about;
I spent most of my life running and fussing,
Now I wonder why I did all that rushing.
