Through The Eyes Of A Poet...

Oh To Be A Man…Not!

They say a woman's life is easy,
Well I'm afraid I disagree,
Women have so many complications,
It's damned hard work you see.
Now men, what can I say?
I'll have to think this one out.
For men they have an easy life,
Of that I'm in no doubt.

They don't have any bits and bobs,
And they don't go through the change,
I mean, we women have an excuse,
For becoming quite deranged.
Men lose a little hair,
And become a little bit bald,
You'd think it the end of the world,
Cos they're not so enthralled.

They are waited on hand and foot,
And they don't have to make the tea,
They just sit around the telly,
Yes, that's the life for me!
They get sick, and blimey,
It's up to bed they go,
They are total wimps,
Ask us girls…we know!

They cannot take the pace,
They get as knackerd as can be,
How on earth would they cope?
If they had to make the tea?
Wimps, that's what they are,
As they look at you so forlorn,
Can you see them sewing a button on?
They'd still be trying next morn.

When the home is totally spotless,
Men don't say a word,
But if there's a little mess,
They're on you like a ruddy nerd.
But I have to be quite honest girls,
They're easy to kick into touch,
Cos in my house, the work gets done,
By the fellas, and it don't take much!

They can dust and hoover and clean,
Like no woman would believe,
Next, I'm teaching them sewing,
And I've plenty more jobs up my sleeve.
So lads I'm only taking the mick,
But if you ever are in doubt…
And you need any cleaning lessons,
Feel free to give us a shout!

Oh to be a man…NOT!
