Why?
So you say
God needs a hearing aid
but you're down on your knees
searching for redemption.
So you say
something needs to change
but you're looking down on me
once again.
I've loved and lost
lived and lied
died in your arms tonight
carried you to your grave
to hear what you had to say.
So you say
someone needs to save face
but you're asking favors
cowering towards temptation.
So you say
everything stays the same
but you're changing deep inside me
once again.

loved and lost this space
cried and died from the shame.
So you say the colors all fade away
but your eyes are wide open
looking for salvation.

then why are you praying to him
