In this mixing pot
In these silent wars
where we have refuges and immigrants
and people coming in from around the world
Where there are gangs
and the jails are over run by mob men
you would think there would bve a code word among citicens
likeminded people
so they would come running out of their houses
out of their homes
to aid
This word used to be help
and all u used to have to do
when being robbed by a gang
in your neighborhood was scream help
and your neighbors would come out with bats and help you
today its not soo
too much fear
too much guns
too much apathy
is the police really working?
she would go back to the days of old
where if someone screamed help we all ran in to go help?
and then sorted the mess out when we got there?
Is that the logical song?
is that the key? is that the secret?
Do we need a code word for every race and sexuality today
due to our own racism and predjudice of redneck stuff
or can we just say call help and everyone come running?
wether its a knofe fight or a mugging or rape
you will put your shoes on and grab your golf club or bat
your weapon opf choice
your cell phone
and go help solve the situation
so what if they are a different color or sexuality?
so what if they beli9eve in a different god?
why cant it be like in the days of old kingdoms where all you had to do
was yell help!!!
and your friendly neighborhood warriors and peasants
would come to your aid
in case the village was under attack
thanks to the movies and media and nbooks we all want a hero
and the police are trying to provide that
but if i ever hear someone call for help
im putting my steel toed boots on
grabbing my 9 iron
and getting ready to go golfing
i dont care if they are gay or indian or black
Help means help
but ill call the police first
Now spiral out of that neighborhood watch theory
i live in a neighborhood where old ladies get robbed
and white people are the minority
Canada is everyman and woman for themself
you yell help no ones coming
but gangs have codes
society needs a code word
i say let that word be help
if someone calls help
get out and help them
maybe they are a child
and ur about to be a hero......
once upon atime heros were painted and had statues carved
do we have to go back to that?
are we that greedy?
wonbt save a life
can't come together as a community to save eachother from nightmares?
