Absent Minded
The first thing i do
Now i know you arent me
lucky you
and i know you dont care to be
in my position
and i understand we are
a bit mad
a tad like minded
a trifle likeminded
and here we are blinded but here it is inbetween me and you
here is what i do
It takes me a while to write apoem
and on every poem i read i leave a critique or comment
to let you know i was there
i figure its only fair for me to learn what i could
and for me to try to be understood
as how you effected my soul
see if you accomplished your goal
as i full well know
i represent one of a million of like minded individuals
who never vote
but this is what i do
i go onto my site sometimes i write
but i always reply to those kind enough to send me a review
why walk on by from those who took the time
out of their bust lives
to stoip by and give you a moments notice
to say something
for that is a bonus
and then i slide away to somewhere else
i have places i like to be
go onto other people sites see their favorites and see who they like
and read hundreds of poems to inspire me
but thats you youre saying not me
I make tapes of songs recorded by singers
that all have themes
i listen to them day and night
and have them inspire me
i have my dreams and goals and life and personality
and things i want to write down
but this is just getting to me
how many of you have me on your lists of feedback
that never say maybe i should take a minute and return the favor
read just one or two
and inspire a distant brother of man
and inspire a total stranger?
Its the first thing i do is check my feedback
to see who though what of which poem
id rather hear about my spelling mistakes and errors
and where i went off track
and how my target audience understands the poem
but no
i reach out i reach out i reach out
and silence treatment i get
silent treatment
after silent trreatment
its total disrespect
a great big wide world
of disrespect
and all i can say is im ther bigger man
im your crutch
when you become someone
and never mention me
for helping you out in your creative ways
wether you caved into my ideals or fought them
i helped mould you
i ama part of your audience
and i read you everyday
so at least stop by to say hey thanks

even though im updating my profile and news and having relationships
after writing a poem and surfing along and voting for a good poem
i repoly to those who took some time out of their busy life to read me
and then i return the favor
and god bless them if they ever figure out a way to get rid of
the ways i try to change things we complain about this little international community

before we et into planes
and travel abroad
if we cant communicate as poets and communicate ideals of art
then how are we going to have a good time in your backyard as tourists
so its the first thing i do

for futuristic world peace
the world can be abetter place and it starts in international communities
wherew we break away from the everyday judgements and the preconceived
bias of hippocrits
sending someone feedback doesn't sound like its important but you know
we're doing it for the best interest of the world and the future
and safety of those who would like to see it
and as we write and cry and feel and play with words
we must know
that if we cant communicate far away
it wont be any different when we come together
i mean who knows
maybe one day poetrypoem will have a reunion and fly out
