Absent Minded

23

this is the beginning of the adventure of blind leading the blind
you might say im copying an idea and giving a new number power
but if only you knew the truth
there is a game to the curse
of how the book leads you from place to place
and the reader can never escape
its like the book the wizard wrote i can admit
with secret messages and a mystery
but what they left out was the truth

The book sets you out on little adventures
wether to the store
or to the mall
wether to the zoo or cemetary
to get you going and for a walk
to read this book
and live your life
and every time you see the number 23
you read along where you stopped

and as you read along it may or may not give you another rule
it may or may not give you another game to play
to help keep your friends from being claimed this way
like many others before them
in the beginning it starts out simply
and you fiond yourself walking around the block
and back home safely
because of a number
and those lost out on the streets with their new bible
and secret god
and number
flip through the pages
and are given new rules and games to play
then tasks as the story unfolds
and this book is written in such a way
that as you perform them and read along
its like it is you
and you can relate to everything
everythingi n the book
you can see it feel it
touch it taste it
now you are a part of it
and this book has a purpose
a soul
it is out to claim more than one

the first chapter it gives you a story line
and clues to go for a walk
the second chapter is a riddle of painting your walls
the third chapter is story that sucks you in more deep
for now you are to go watch the news
but keep in mind you focus on all of these other things
and it promises to give you more time away from the book
except for the curse of 23which is revealed at the end
you perform these tasks before the next 23 or something bad will happen

cut out a paper doll
before you see the number 23
and then it teaches you how to do the math
and gives you anew task
fold a crane
before the next 23
so now fold a crane and make some paper dolls
and do it before you see a 23
thats just an example
the truth of the curse is far more rivetting
for you need to get to 23 cranes and 23 paper dolls
but everytime a certain something happens
as you play the first chapter and you mess it up
you will be asked to give a crane away
or cut up a paper doll

the first chapter is easy
the rules are simple
and level two might be as simple sounding as getting 23 pairs of shoes
while no one but those smart enough to read the hidden messages
will know why or what to do
and when a pair gets thrown away
what then what do you do?
the book of obsession of a story of akiller who has yet to be caught
each chapter a game to play with rules
simple rules to string you along
in a book to play along
like an addictive invisible friend guiding you to success

but not many see the terrible truth or the trap set for them at the end
the story gets better more rivetting more clever
each chapter a new game to guide you to unleash its curse
and call out for the killer
the killer satys in one place
and the book leads you right to him
and in the end he now has another 23 pairs of shoes
23 cranes
23 paper dolls
23 houses decorated the same
23 books all playing the same game
23 cities over ruled by one number

The number 23 is a game
you need a saxaphone
you need a book by a certain name
you need detective magazines that fit the crimes
and you give these things to the person who is reading the book
and let out the last person in line
sit there for 23 days
or 23 years
23 weeks
or are put in cell 23

i wrote the book
i know its game
there is no killer
just a curse for those who are obsessive compulsive
for i was a bit crazy you see
and i was trying to turn them all into me
so i could run away

and when everyone is like me
when everyone knows my pain and suffering
when everyone puts the 23 puzzle pieces together
of the 23 different books that have 23 puzzle pieces
that make up the one riddle
will they know what is really going on
